Volunteer Opportunities

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. - Romans 12:6

Church in the Park (CitP) is 100% volunteer run.  We meet EVERY Sunday in Oregon Park in Modesto - rain or shine.  

Our volunteers serve as the hands and feet of Jesus helping us to literally 'build' our church every Sunday.  Beginning at 9:15am we set up our sanctuary and our children's church plus our food distribution area and - when needed - our areas to distribute clothing, hygiene kits and other supplies. 

Consider volunteering to help at CitP services.  It's a great volunteer experience for individuals, families, youth groups, small church groups or even for a church as a whole.   We are always looking for people who will use their gifts and talents to serve God, and through God serve others.

The following are some of the areas which utilize volunteers:

- Setup and tear down of chairs and tents on the church grounds

- Preparing and handling of food for snacks and meals

- Children’s Church

- Clothing distribution

- Hygiene kit distribution

- Music ministry

Our volunteers are critical to our mission, and we are so grateful that God continues to provide those people with a servant’s heart week in and week out.  If you are interested in volunteering for any of the areas listed above please contact us, and we will be more than happy to provide you the opportunity to get involved.
