Children's Church

He took a little child and had him stand among them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them,  "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me." – Mark 9:36-37

Every Sunday we offer Children's Church as part of our Church in the Park ministry, and each week we have the opportunity to bless the 35 to 50 children who attend.  Our Children's Church is similar to the one you have observed at your own congregation.  Parents check in their kids when they arrive, and the kids have the opportunity to play games and have a snack prior to our lesson.  Each week we share God's Word with them, using stories that relate to their lives and offer them verses that they can tuck away in their hearts.  These children face unimaginable challenges in their lives so we believe their Sunday mornings with us at Church in the Park are a unique opportunity for us to lift them up and offer them a foundation to establish a relationship with Jesus Christ.

The kids who attend our Children's Church are between the ages of 3 and 12.  Each week we offer an age-appropriate lesson to the 8-12 year olds, in addition to a lesson tailored for the younger kids.  

Like all of Church in the Park, our Children's Church is totally volunteer run.
